- 1st Step Solutions are working on behalf of a leading UK wide Contractor who have an opportunity for a Security Administrator to join their team in Tewkesbury.
- Job Summary:

- To support the vetting lead with the management of the site Vetting process. The Security Vetting Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the processing, storage and sharing of all vetting related records stored within the secure drive. The day-to-day management of vetting will include communication with direct staff and subcontractors in relation to gathering required vetting data and collating the information in accordance with Cabinet office vetting guidance. Checking and recording right to work evidence and liaising with employers to confirm work history, references and other required information in support of the vetting process.
- **Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and manage the Vetting process across the site assisting the site security lead
- Review all vetting documentation as part of the vetting process and manage the data securely and in accordance with company processes and procedures.
- Initiate processes for the correct storage, maintenance and processing of personal data within the defence sector of the business.
- Assist with all site activities where security and vetting are a factor.
- Manage aspects of data protection with regards to Vetting to ensure compliance with GDPR.
- Maintain and advise on overall site, building and office security with regards to access, document and IT control
- Act as a focal point for all enquiries related to vetting and site access, including inductions, site access passes ID verification etc and any other activity related to security at the site.

**Experience**:
- Experience of working in a secure environment preferred
- Experience of working with construction companies, advantage particularly in a security role
- Knowledge of current Vetting processes to include right to work and criminal record checks desirable

Qualifications/Competencies:
- Educated to a degree level desirable or relevant experience
- Able to achieve a current National security clearance either SC or above and hold UK nationality
- A good working knowledge of GDPR
- Good team player
- Demonstrates a strong personal integrity
- Uses business understanding to set priorities
