Due to increased business growth, APEM's Data Operations Team are searching for an IT Technical Assistant to join us as we expand This is an exciting IT role working for an environmental company, where you will have the opportunity to assist on shaping the way forward inside this team. Input on the specifications for purchasing hardware, you will be solving problems within your abilities, and promptly escalating problems that require additional resources to overcome.

**About the role**

APEM carries out aerial surveys for a variety of reasons, marine wildlife surveys, 3D modelling, land use mapping, pipe leaks, and a whole host of others. The Data Team handles the aerial survey data captured by APEM, archiving it, processing it, and handing it off to other teams to do further work on. As well as colour corrections we create point clouds, orthomosaics, and 3D models. All the imagery collected is georeferenced utilising GIS.

There are two main functions for the role. The first is to manage the data handling team, ensuring they’re meeting deadlines, are properly resourced, and either solving or escalating issues as they arise. The second function is to provide frontline IT support for the Geospatial department, setting up hardware and managing servers.

Please note that this role is based in our Chester office.
