We are looking for an Events Sales Co-ordinator to join our team to be responsible for generating business at our hotel.

The hotel offers a peaceful and tranquil setting in the Hertfordshire countryside. The hotel boasts 80 bedrooms all comfortable and contemporary styled and onsite leisure club which includes a fitness suite, steam room, sauna and indoor swimming pool as well as a beauty Spa.

We offer conference and banqueting facilities; catering for up to 400 guests, we can host all types of events; from weddings, training workshops, exhibitions to private dinners and balls.

The purpose of this role will be to support the sales office whilst generating business, following up leads and maintaining customer satisfaction.

THE ROLE:

- Undertaking general office & administration duties
- Responding to and logging new enquiries and maintaining an effective follow-up system to secure business
- Conducting show rounds and planning meetings
- Chasing and taking payments
- Assisting with compiling function sheets
- Contacting clients for feedback of past events
- Tracking lost business
- Keeping the database up to date
- Attending exhibitions/fayres - internally and externally with the team to sell the Hotel
- Participate actively in hotel sales projects and attending sales meetings
- Taking minutes at sales meetings
- Carrying out any other reasonable requests made by management

THE CANDIDATE:

- Experience of working in an office is preferred
- Good knowledge of Excel, Publisher, Word & Power Point
- Interest in sales and event co-ordination
- Excellent customer care experience with great communication skills
- Very organised and able to work under pressure

This role is a full time role covering 5 out of 7 days (with the rota being agreed one month in advance) a total of 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
