Butchers Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butchery Assistant to join our team. As a Butchery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our butchers in preparing and processing various cuts of meat. **Responsibilities**:

- Assist the butchers in preparing and cutting different types of meat
- Package and label meat products for display or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the butchery area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure product quality
- Collaborate with the kitchen and restaurant staff to fulfill orders and meet customer demands
- Receive and inspect incoming meat shipments for quality and freshness
- Operate equipment such as grinders, slicers, and saws under the guidance of experienced butchers
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and restocking supplies

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in food preparation or production is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meat cuts is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Butchering: 1 year (preferred)
