Mechanical Assembler

Opus Vitae are actively recruiting for **Assembly Operatives** for our client based in the **Ludlow** area.

Working hours**:Monday - Friday, day shifts, or rotating mornings and afternoons available. 37 hour week.**
- Day Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.00am
- 4.30pm. Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm.
- Rotating Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm. Rotating weekly.

Salary**:£11.50 per hour**, progression available.

Additional shift allowance of £72.24 per week - Only applicable on rotating shifts.

Average production bonus of £33.00 per week - Paid on both days or rotating shifts.

**Experience we are looking for...**
- Mechanical assembly experience, ideally within a heavy industrial environment
- Experience of operating variety of production equipment
- Experience as a mechanical fitter/mechanic a distinct advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

**Job Responsibilities / Duties**
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- Ludlow, Shropshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
