Progress Teachers are supporting a school in LE2 to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the School's kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared and provided for students in timely and efficient manner.

**You will be required to work 11:30 - 13:30 Monday to Friday.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of meals following standardised recipes and portion sizes.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to help in cooking and other food preparation tasks.
- Support in the serving of meals during lunchtime, including setup and clean-up of the dining area.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- Strong hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills.

**You will additionally need a DBS on the update service (or willing to get on)**

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.72-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
