Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an English Teacher for one of our client secondary schools in West Stockport, right on the border of Manchester. This is a full-time post with the school desiring the successful applicant as soon as they are clearedfor work.

- Must hold Maths QTS

The school in question is a warm and welcoming place to work, every department has the collective goal of raising attainment across the board and to improve exam results year in year out. They are looking to add someone who shares their high standards andcan bring a positive impact to the Maths department.

The school’s SEN department is also held in high regard, the school ethos is that no student should leave without having at least achieved their academic potential and are prepared for the next steps in their education.

Additional responsibilities:

- Consistently deliver high quality sessions to classes with differing ability to KS3 & KS4 students
- Regularly provide rich, detailed feedback to students, constructively highlighting their strengths and areas of improvement
- Regularly attend Parents’ Evenings to give updates to students’ parents/guardians
- Support students with SEN, giving them the support they need in lesson time as well as helping to create and develop additional learning materials for them
- Always uphold school standards, key areas are bullying, behaviour and attainment

As mentioned, the school is situated right on the border of Stockport and Manchester, the school has private parking and is accessible via the M60, there is a train station a short walk away along with a tram and bus stop right on the school’s doorstep.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
