**About the Role**:
**The primary responsibilities of this role are**:
To protect the assets of the business through ensuring the appropriate operational controls and disciplines are working effectively, with particular focus on the end-to-end processes in respect of inventory and all consumer sales and their associated payment methods.
The role will monitor compliance and support operational performance, especially with regard to the processes and controls in conjunction with the systems to deliver accurate Theoretical to Actual Gross Profit reporting to facilitate appropriate actions to continuously improve performance.

**What you'll be doing**:
**Analysis of Sales and Inventory data**:

- Identify opportunities for reducing waste and loss at a product/category/unit/brand/country level.
- Identify opportunities and compliance related issues, e.g. recording of waste.
- Identify potential areas of fraud, e.g. high value stock and cash losses at a unit level.
- Identify opportunities for improving the theoretical gross profit.
- Identify risks/opportunities in relation to inventory on hand across the business.
- Identify opportunities in the key categories to assist in the delivery of the target %.
- Data management and analysis:

- Ensuring that any data related issues are reported, e.g. inaccurate recipes and yields, unlinked items, etc. to the relevant Data team.
- Validating recipes and yields across countries for the same type of unit or brand.
- Through analysis of the data, identify initiatives for improving the theoretical gross profit.
- Reporting:

- Monthly Group waste and loss report.
- Reports, charts and presentations to communicate opportunities to key stakeholders.
- League tables to highlight best and worst performance.
- Period reviews with relevant countries in scope
- To report to the local management and the Director of Business Controls any financial or operational control weaknesses that are identified either through the work programme or business visits and advise local management on appropriate solutions.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:
**Essential**:

- Strong understanding of all aspects of Food and Beverage operations.
- Good understanding of stock management and business controls and the associated data, e.g. articles, recipes.
- Ability to implement operational controls to improve performance.
- A willingness to create a culture of change and institute new disciplines and processes.
- Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work across functions and build strong collaborative relationships with Country and Group stakeholders.
- Willing to work at the ‘coalface’ and with senior management in terms of implementation, deployment and measurement of action plans and initiatives.

**Desirable**:

- Excellent organisational, planning and delegation skills.
