For example, we can manage our clients overall exposure to tax, guide through complex UK and international systems, and help with everything from preparing returns to negotiating with authorities.

Clients will also gain commercial insights that help make better financial and business decisions. Whether we are dealing with an individual, small business, entrepreneur, or multinational corporation, we will ensure our clients receive the most effectivetax solutions to support their goals.

**Skills we’re looking for**
- Proven track record of experience in VAT / Indirect Tax gained from working in an in-house role or similar professional services.
- Accounting or tax qualification (e.g., CTA) or qualified by experience in the relevant profession or HMRC.
- Competent in VAT accounting requirements.
- Good UK and / or European Indirect Tax knowledge.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

**Opportunity**

As an Interim VAT Tax Manager working for Grant Thornton, you will be exposed to a variety of short-term or long-term projects within our Tax team enabling you to deliver exceptional service to our clients and help communities and businesses flourish. Ontop of that, you will be able to continue growing your skillset, building up your experience and network of business connections all whilst working alongside the Grant Thornton’s team of experts. This position also gives you the flexibility to work from anywherein the UK with some travel required to client sites or local GT offices.
