Our client is seeking an experienced **Demand Planner**to join their team on a permanent full-time basis (mainly office based).

**Salary**: C£26,000 pa - annual bonus

Location: Near Gillingham, Kent

Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday

9am to 3pm on Friday

Benefits: 25 days annual leave + BH, health care, pension

The **Demand Planner**will ideally have experience of dealing with retailers: High Street and online and use SAP or similar package.

**Demand PlannerResponsibilities**:

- Ensure that UK production (packing) is cost effective & identify savings where possible.
- Monitor the production processes, suggest improvements & adjust schedules as needed to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Maintain inventory of materials needed to complete production, get regular updates from colleagues on UK & Far East supplier production to ensure up to date information to plan efficient UK production, highlight timing issues to colleagues around the businesswhere necessary.
- Chase UK & FE suppliers for delivery dates, negotiating on improved dates where necessary.
- Manage stock control using current IT packages, including annual stock take
- Monitor customer acceptance of production samples where applicable
- Resolve issues relating to production planning conflicts & issues
- Raise purchase orders & delivery notes, update goods-in and finished goods information
- Book in deliveries with customers and hauliers & arrange UK collections where necessary
- Regularly liaise with relevant personnel, e.g., sales, marketing, design, packers, suppliers & customers
- Support all areas of the supply chain function as required

**Demand Planner -Qualifications & Essential Experience**
- GCSE grade B/C (5 or 6) in English & Mathematics or equivalents.
- Experience of Microsoft Office confident in Excel
- Experience of supply chain software systems with accurate data inputting skills
- A general understanding of production planning principles, theories & concepts

**_Preferred _**
- Experience of working in a production planning, scheduling, supply chain role
- Experience of dealing with customers and colleagues in Europe and the Far East
- A Level standard or degree levels education (or equivalent)
- UK driving licence
