**Job description**

An opportunity has arisen to join the Criminal Justice Department as a Section Leader within SafeCam and Central Ticket Office, based at Carmelite House, Norwich.

The role will predominately involve supervising the Central Ticket Office administration process in accordance with legislation, relevant codes of practice, and policies and procedures, as well as assisting the Team Leader - CTO. You will be liaising with HMCTS, course providers and overseeing the preparation of Single Justice Procedural case preparation for all minor traffic offences in Norfolk and Suffolk.

**Main Activities of the Role**
- Supervision of Safety Camera administration process and staff
- Make prosecution decisions in respect of officer issued notices as well as both fixed and mobile enforcement cameras
- Dealing with correspondence (usually at repeat level), and service recovery complaints relating to detected offences
- Maintain local system administration of PentiP and EROS as required and knowledge and supervision of related systems such as NDORS and Document manager
- Liaise with front line officers, partner agencies including CPS, HMCTS, Suppliers, Service providers and other organisations
- Be responsible for maintaining stocks of officer issued notices and distributing as required.
- Deputise for Team Leaders and other Safety Camera Section Leaders as required
- Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by line management

**Person Specification**

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to motivate, train and develop staff
- Experience of working with the public and other agencies
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, to strict timescales and quality expectations
- Good keyboard skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to work with complex ICT systems such as PentiP and Startraq DOME
- Ability to research and extract information from various sources and effectively answer/ resolve queries

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

- Previous experience in a police or legal environment.
- Understanding of the Criminal Justice system, road traffic law and the rules of evidence

Hours of work 37 per week, Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
