My client is an independent commercial insurance broker looking for a Senior Account Handler to join their team in Port Solent.

**Overall objective**:
To assist with the servicing and administration of client insurance portfolios

To help maintain the company’s income by retaining existing clients

To provide support with new business quotations

**Main duties/responsibilities**:
To support the activities of the Directors and account executives in their dealings with clients administration and servicing of existing corporate clients, which includes but is not limited to, renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, processing adjustments and preparing documentation.

To ensure instructions are processed, recorded and confirmed in a timely and efficient manner

To help identify cross-selling opportunities and potential gaps in client cover

To comply with relevant regulatory requirements and the company’s procedures

To assist with credit control, as required

To maintain good working relationships with clients, colleagues, insurers and other suppliers

To undergo training in line with agreed objectives and keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments

To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

**Knowledge/understanding & experience required**:
At least 5 years experience in a commercial account-handling role within a general broker

Technically competent on most commercial insurance classes

**Knowledge/understanding required**:
Acturis and Microsoft Word

Basic - electronic mail, the internet and Microsoft Excel

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
