Groundskeeper / Gardener

Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa is magnificently set in the secluded splendour of 400 acres of deer park and woodland, bordered by the calming waters of Bassenthwaite Lake and framed by the dramatic Skiddaw Mountain and Lake District Fells. As one of the original stately homes of England it is now looking for a part time (3 days a week) Groundskeeper /Gardener to assist with the following:

- Grass cutting and maintenance on all grassed garden and parkland.
- To maintain all planted areas of the gardens, renewing seasonal planting
- To curtail weekly growth through general weeding by hand, plus the laying of bark etc
- To maintain the growth of hedges and trees
- To be responsible for maintaining water features
- To be responsible for looking out for and disposing of poisonous plants
- Keep all exterior paved and tarmac areas free of leaves and debris.
- To ensure all garden furniture is clean, tidy, and stored at the end of the season.
- Assist maintenance in keeping drains and guttering clear.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in groundskeeping / landscaping or as a Gardener preferred
- Knowledge of plants, trees, and lawn care techniques
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
