**What we expect**:
We are looking for a passionate indirect spend buyer to join our head office Procurement team, who will report to our Head of Procurement & Supply Management. This role will primarily be responsible for managing the Indirect spend and line management of one Operational Buyer, supporting the procurement team to drive out cost, manage sourcing initiatives and ensuring through our procurement activity the company’s operational needs are met.

As an indirect buyer, your day to day will include:

- Purchase indirect goods, consumables, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Transfer requisitions into supply in time and quality to most favourable conditions
- Manage and execute all indirect purchasing tasks and processes from clarification of demand to matching and documentation of supply including filing of all purchase order related documents
- Functional steering and target setting for indirect purchasing spend
- Prepare and execute contractual and price negotiations for indirect spend
- Enhance cost awareness and monitor expenses versus budget
- Deliver briefings, updates, and reports on key suppliers as and when required
- Meet with stakeholders and suppliers to discuss the procurement of Indirect to determine best value
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers
- Undertake the necessary due diligence on prospective vendors and assist in managing the on-boarding process ensuring adherence to Procurement Policies and Procedures
- Support Operational Buyers within the procurement team where necessary

**Who we are looking for**:

- 3+ years' experience in purchasing, ideally in a relevant industry
- Qualified or currently studying towards CIPS Qualification is desirable
- A strong understanding of procurement practices and processes
- Good negotiation experience in complex commodities / projects
- Good attention to detail, analytical and able to follow procedures
- Strong skills using MS Office, databases, and eProcurement systems
- Consistently works to deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant indirect purchasing spend
- Strong organisational and people skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly motivated, reliable and hardworking
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
