Warehouse Associate

We are a Internet and retail camping company and are seeking to recruit staff for our warehouse to pick and pack customer orders following a sustained period of growth. The successful applicants will be part of a team and responsible for picking orders and packing them to ensure safe delivery to the customer.

The post also include accepting deliveries into the warehouse and organising stock control. There are three posts available some of which are permanent and others are fixed term contracts with potential for these to be extended.

The team work closely together to ensure that products are despatched within timescales and the warehouse is maintained to a good standard and stock is well organised. We are therefore, looking for individuals who can work on their own initiative and be flexible, whilst demonstrating an ability to work as part of a team under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

Some of the product boxes can be heavy so you must be physically able to lift. However all work will be carried out in line with health and safety guidelines in place. The individual will be provided with training and it would be beneficial if they have experience of using a cherry picker or a fork lift truck, however these are not essential as training can be provided. This can include the successful applicants being provided with the opportunity to obtain a fork lift truck licence.

The hours are 8.30-4.30pm, over seven days with a 30 min unpaid lunch break

The main tasks in this job:

- Packaging products and Customer Orders
- Preparing deliveries
- Accepting in and sorting new stock deliveries
- maintaining a well organised warehouse.

The main task is packaging the online orders which can involve walking 10,000 - 15,000 steps on a busy day.

We are looking for individuals who are able to demonstrate the following:

- Are enthusiastic, positive, self motivated and wants to do well
- Have a keen eye for detail, The correct product must go with the correct order.
- Able to work on their own initiative
- Have good time keeper
- Reliable
- Can use basic Microsoft systems

**Salary**: £9.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
