Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities: - Oversee all yard operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods - Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments - Ensure accurate inventory management and tracking - Supervise a team of yard workers, providing guidance and support - Implement and maintain efficient yard processes and procedures - Collaborate with other departments to optimize yard operations - Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment - Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs - Maintain accurate records of yard activities and performance metrics Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment - Proficiency in operating forklifts and other yard equipment - Strong knowledge of warehouse systems, such as AS400 or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) - Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus - Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency - Ability to analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement - Proven track record in managing profit loss and cost control measures We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance. Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
