Unity City Academy is a successful and growing provider of 11 to 16 education in the east end of Middlesbrough. The Academy has recently achieved an Ofsted “Good” rating in all categories and has over 900 students on roll, 64% of whom are pupil premium. The Unity Academy Maths Department believes in a knowledge-rich curriculum and an ethos of developing and sharing best practices to encourage high standards across the academy. We are looking for an outstanding Teacher of Maths who is really passionate about helping our students succeed and grow as individuals. You will be teaching Maths across the full age and ability range, specific experience of ‘A’ level is essential. You will be joining our hard-working team of forward-thinking professionals dedicated to ensuring students reach their potential. We believe in delivering a curriculum to encourage student progress and high expectations for all ability levels.

As a Lead Practitioner of Maths, you will lead on teaching and learning initiatives and strategies to improve teaching practice in order to raise student standards and progress. Ideally, you will already have some experience of leading teaching and learning initiatives at whole-school level evidenced by successful outcomes in attainment and student progress.
