- The Newt in Somerset is a truly unique destination with two distinct sides.

It is a country estate with ancient woodland, historic gardens with far-reaching views, a luxury hotel, spa, and restaurants. Attracting some 200,000 visitors per year from all over the world, our vibrant and thriving garden attraction is animated throughout the seasons by special events, workshops, and educational programmes.

The Newt in Somerset is also a fine quality food & drinks brand, running a large farmland that produces a vibrant abundance of homegrown produce in a traditional, clean and sustainable way. This includes both fresh vegetable and fruit harvest, 365 days a-year, milk and dairy production, sheep and beef pastures with our own butchery, artisan bakery, mature apple orchards and state-of-the-art cyder cellar.

**Ecommerce at The Newt in Somerset**

Our Ecommerce business has proven to be extremely popular and is now thriving, delivering fresh product in Somerset and in London as well as ambient goods nationwide via a courier network. Provenance is at the heart of what we do here at The Newt, and we pride ourselves on delivering our fresh, quality produce direct to our customers. Working in a business which strives for excellence and an eye for detail, Newt Ecommerce works with the estate departments to develop new products, increasing our offering and showcasing the best of the estate.

**Our Warehouse Operatives**

As part of the Ecommerce team, it will be your task to bring the heart of Somerset to London and continue the Newt in Somerset experience

We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, is professional and has self-drive, energy and enthusiasm. Day to day duties will be varied and range from picking orders and maintaining housekeeping standards in our warehouse, loading, and unloading vehicles, adhering to out health and safety guidelines and providing customer service that is second to none.

**Skills And Experience**
- Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures.
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors.
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules.
- Meet specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Forklift counter-balance license holder is a nice to have but not essential.
- Follows good food handling practices and required work safe practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Full driving licence desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Positive attitude and the wiliness to adapt.
