**Overview**:
**We are looking for several Midday Supervisors for 10 hours a week in term time only to work in the hall and be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of children during the lunch service.**

**No experience required as training will be provided.**

**We are looking for staff to start ASAP.**

**About the role**:
**Main purpose**:
To ensure a happy and enjoyable lunchtime experience for pupils.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Transfer of pupils to and from the dining area.
- To positively encourage good behaviour and table manners and hygiene.
- Encourage children to try/eat more food.
- Help children to learn to cut up their food and use cutlery correctly
- Check children are eating their packed lunches and that contents are appropriate
- Feedback to Lead Lunch supervisor on children who are not eating their lunch
- packed or hot meals
- Check lanyards regularly to help familiarise yourself with their specific needs of our allergy children
- Clean tables between classes
- Support where you can see help is needed, even if not in your allocated area
- To work alongside the kitchen staff, chefs, Teaching Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the lunch hall
- To manage the bands given to the children that dictates their meal choice
- To assist younger pupils where necessary whilst they are taking a meal.
- To actively supervise the dining room procedures:
- Check lanyards and allergy children at every touchpoint
- Support with giving out cups and water and refill jugs regularly
- Assisting with the service at the table
- Training children in the correct use of cutlery
- Clearing and stacking table equipment and serving dishes
- Wiping and re-setting tables if necessary
- Cleaning up food and water spillages on tables and floors
- To liaise with the Headteacher and teaching staff of the school in dealing with problems arising from pupil behaviour and any other matters of concern.
- To contribute as a member of a team to the ethos and environment of the school.
- To adhere to need for confidentiality at all times.
- To perform such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.
