- Bradford Youth Justice Service, YJS (formally Bradford Youth Offending Team) is a dynamic, positive organisation. In 2019 we received The John Hawkins Award for Innovation and Creativity in Youth Justice Practice and People Can Quality Kite-mark for Volunteers. The YJS benefits from the support and confidence of a wide network of partners from the statutory and voluntary sectors.- We have recently been successful in securing funding to create a dedicated team to work directly with specific schools to offer universal and bespoke interventions to reduce violence, exclusions and increase attendance strengthening our early help and prevention offer. This is an exciting project which requires innovation, creativity, partnership working and the ability to quickly form and deliver as a new multiagency team to meet required outcomes.- You can help assist us in our aims of preventing and reducing youth crime if you are enthusiastic, have the skills to build and work within a multiagency team, committed to working with children, their families and the victims of crime and can evidence experience of working with children involved in or on the edge of offending. We can offer you an attractive working environment with sound professional support and guidance.- You will work within the formal authority of the Criminal Justice Framework, alongside Educational Legislation undertaking stakeholder and partnership networking, daily managerial oversight of a multi-agency team, data and performance management, quality assurance and evidencing good outcomes.- You will work within the formal authority of the Criminal Justice Framework undertaking quality assessments and delivering good interventions alongside Educational legislation.- You should have;- Experience of working in a paid capacity with children aged 10 and over in a youth justice setting and/or a minimum of 1 year’s experience of working with children and families in a prevention, crime/anti-social or challenging behaviour setting and/or a minimum of 2 year’s experience of working with socially disaffected children or young adults.
- Knowledge and understanding of the new approaches to the prevention of youth crime and anti social behaviour.
- Have a good understanding of, and the ability to, manage safeguarding and risk.
- Ability to complete and review quality assessments and plans.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure.
- Ability to work within the formal authority of the criminal justice framework.
- Ability to work and deliver to both groups and individuals.
- Evidence of personal development through basic academic achievements.
- Sensitivity to the victims of crime.
- Secondments will be considered - You must have the permission of your Team Manager / Service Manager.**An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this this this post.**

**Due to the nature and the role of this job, which involves travel across the district and at times, nationally it would be highly desirable for the post holder to hold a Full Driving Licence.**
