Accounts Assistant - with Legal company experience

Mon-Thu 0900-1800 and Fri 0900-1700

We are delighted to assisting our professional, established and very progressive legal client as they seek to recruit a permanent full time Accounts Assistant (with legal company experience) to join their friendly and busy team in Haywards Heath.

A background within an Accounts team in a legal firm is **essential** for this exciting opportunity

**Duties and responsibilities to include**:
Invoicing

Bank reconciliation using Xero

Adding supplier invoices to system

Receiving and checking invoices for payment

Managing client account ledgers

Operating in-house case management system

Liaising with and supporting the consultant solicitors

Dealing with client queries

Managing outstanding debts

Assisting with the Management Accounts

Keeping spreadsheets up to date

Keeping records up to date and comply with industry regulations

Keep abreast of new rules and regulations within the industry

**Skills and experience required for the role**

An ability to work well independently and use your own initiative

Previous experience in a legal accounting role is **essential**

A meticulous eye for detail

Good IT skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to deal with a busy workload

An enthusiasm to take on new challenges and broaden your knowledge base and skill set.
