**Role**: Logistics Planner
**Location**: Chichester, Sussex
**Duration**: 12 months
**Pay**: £27.54 per hour UMB Inside IR35
We are currently recruiting a Logistics Planner for a leading automotive company based in Chichester, Sussex.
You will be responsible for the production and the planning and implementation of inbound parts logistics concepts (supply chain concepts, material flow, logistics structure elements, external and internal packaging and line side layout) for new ProductIntegration, LCI, MY and Bespoke Features. Responsible for the relevant logistics economic results in vehicle projects, bespoke feature evaluation and series changes Responsible to manage Change and Process Improvement Projects within Logistics Planning andPhysical Logistics Responsible for Early Phase Planning and Strategy Evaluations
**Duties and responsibilities will be as followed**:
**Logistics Planning in ItO**:
- Design, plan, analyse, influence, qualify, evaluate, identify, communicate concepts to deliver most efficient logistics processes (costs, space, time, quality, environment) for the Integration of new vehicles and bespoke features contributing to an overallR-R business optimum.
**Logistics Planning in Series and EOP**:
- Design, develop, plan, agree, procure, implement, optimise, analyse, escalate, solve, integrate, co-ordinate, lead, communicate, standardise logistics supply chain processes and structures, external and internal packaging, problems, internal and externalprocess partners, logistics and cross-functional teams, module teams, logistics tools, standards and methods to establish concepts to deliver most efficient logistics processes.
- Cost evaluations and expenditure, ensuring controlling, forecasting and adherence to Invest targets (Structure and Product) and to budget targets.
- Ensure that Project targets are met, plant requirements are incorporated, and R-R is integrated and recognised within standard processes.
- Manage Change and Process Improvement Projects in Logistics Planning and Physical Logistics, train colleagues and logistics shop floor staff.
**Information/Documentation**:
- Prepare/produce reports/documentation from available data to ensure that the appropriate level of information is communicated throughout the business.
- Time and cost Analysis for improvement in assembly and logistics costs, resources, time, space to achieve business optimum.
**To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills/experience**:
**Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills Degree level or relevant professional experience**
- Excellent understanding of the whole inbound logistics process chains, logistics structure elements and packaging concept.
- Knowledge of production / assembly process, Health & Safety regulations and ergonomics, VPS (Kaizen).
- Negotiation and coaching skills and project management skills.
- The interfaces within Plant Goodwood, Sister Plant Dingolfing and FIZ Munich, require a good understanding of both the German and English cultural differences.
**SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS ETC**
- Formal training in Logistics
- Excellent knowledge of logistics processes
- Ability to handle pressure whilst solving problems, resolving conflicts and making key decisions
- Strongly self-motivated, high analytical and logical capabilities
- High level of creative thinking
- General IT Skills (Desktop)
- Business Process IT Skills
- Excellent communications and social skills.
- Able to convince and persuade others, both at higher and lower levels
- German Language skills highly advantageous.
