Coldstore Operative

**Location Telford (Shropshire)**

**Hours: 40 hours per week**

We are an importer and distributor of frozen, chilled and ambient food products with several depots and a national distribution network.

Our depot in Telford covers distribution throughout England.

**Role**:
A numbers of vacancies have arisen which involve working in a busy Coldstore & distribution warehouse,

**Tasks**:

- Storing, picking, packing of customers orders with goal to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or collection according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock, products (pick, unload, label, and store) Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audit.
- Inbound - Every pallet must have pallet label with code/Des/BBE/Qty
- Help maintain standards
- Stock consolidation, stock rotation and Ensure the pick faces are fully replenished during your shift as per the rota.
- Ensuring the dock’s, warehouse, loading area, yard is kept clean all the time.
- Clean as you go and ensure advance orders are picked so time can be spent for periodic stock checks, deep cleans to maintain high floor standards and all the stock is neatly stacked and floor is free of debris, wood, shrink wrap etc.
- Manual handling activities such as but not limited to, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying will be required.

**Competencies**:

- Warehouse experience of leading fast moving warehousing operations
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to achieve targets by developing and managing a team
- Able to communicate effectively and report to all levels

**Qualifications**:
The post holder should have (or complete the requirements within 6 months of acceptance)
- Full FLT License (Reach & Counterbalance)
- First Aid - Level 2
- Food Safety - Level 2
