**Qualified Greenkeeper**

Become a part of a team, prepare our Championship Golf Courses, ready for golfers to play a round of golf and so this all in the setting of 1100 acres of English countryside.

The East Sussex National Hotel and Golf Club offers a perfect retreat for both business and leisure guests. With 104 beautiful bedrooms, Health Club, Spa (with 9 treatment rooms) and two Championship Golf Courses. East Sussex National also offers a wide range of meeting and events space which is ideal for day meetings, residential conferences or that special social event.

**Key areas of the role**

Golf course are the playing surfaces like tees, fairways and greens. We also have hazard areas like bunkers and water features such as lakes and rivers. The playing surfaces may involve using machinery like ride on mowers, probable unlike any mower you have used before. Cutting grass as low as 3mm. Hazard areas like bunkers need to be raked and Water features maintained.

**Objectives of the Qualified Greenkeeper**

To assist with the daily preparation and maintenance of the golf courses and grounds within the specified standards set by East Sussex National under the guidance of the Course Manager whilst complying with all company policies.

**Main duties**:
To assist in the day to day work programme for the course and grounds.

To carry out at all times both manual and mechanical tasks to the standard set out in your individual training programme

Operate all mechanical equipment in a safe and careful manner adhering at all times to the health and safety measures required for each piece of equipment. Ensuring that all machinery is in good working order.

Actively participate in monthly departmental meetings and contribute any ideas you may have that will benefit the team and company.

Any other duties directed by the Course Manager.

Excellent team and love working outdoors in all weather conditions (with the rolling South Down in the distance as an amazing backdrop). Able to start work early in the mornings and the flexibility to work 1 in 3 weekends (mornings only).

**Salary**: £24,720.00 per year
