**SEN / SEND Mentors, Support Workers, and Tutors for Young People who require emotional and behavioural support required in your area.**:
**£18 p/h - £28 p/h**

Gross pay, constituted of a base rate + 12.07% holiday pay

We are looking for SEN / SEND Mentors with a passion to transform the lives of vulnerable people through tailored interventions. At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists. Working with us is a unique opportunity to utilise your previous experience supporting vulnerable and disengaged young people to make a real difference. This role is perfect for SEN / SEND Mentors who want a role that involves being creative and flexible in your delivery and methods of support for a variety of needs. We support young people in a variety of settings, providing engagement and social and emotional support.

**The SEN / SEND Mentor role**:

- This role will involve providing support to young people referred to Targeted Provision
- These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools.
- You will be working with our young people 1:1 or in small groups.
- You will design / follow interventions for the young person to support their engagement and wellbeing, and report back on each intervention session.

**SEND / SEND Mentor requirements**: The requirements for our roles are wide ranging as each young person we work with has their own specific requirements that we tailor each intervention to.
- Essential_
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a role supporting vulnerable young people
- The ability to work in a way that promotes the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references
- Desirable_
- SEN / SEND Mentor experience
- Teaching experience / training (eg. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, B,Ed., PTLLS, DTLLS, CELTA, Overseas Qualification, etc)
- Learning support experience / training (eg. LSA experience, TA experience, HLTA training. etc)
- Therapeutic experience / training (counselling experience or qualifications, mental health first aid qualifications, CBT, etc)
- Social and mental health support experience / training (care home experience, social work experience, social work qualifications, etc)
- SEND experience and training (dyslexia, ASC, ADHD, etc)
- Deescalation experience and training (Teach Teach, MAPA, etc)
- Alternative Communication and Language training (BSL, PECS, Makaton, EAL, etc)

**SEN / SEND Mentor employment status**:

- This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, to provide short-term engagements as and when they arise
- You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE
- We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage
- Our insurance covers the work you do for us
