Glazebury Primary School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant (EYFS Nursery Assistant Apprentice) to complete the following tasks:

- To support staff in the setting, care for the children in line with the settings policies and procedures and alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
- To follow all safeguarding practices in line with settings policy and practice
- The role will include supporting staff to ensure the health and safety of the children at all times
- Providing stimulating activities to encourage children's development and learning
- To learn and develop skills and practices associated and expected of a teaching assistant within a school setting with particular focus on EYFS
- Supported by Total People to gain relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications

**Future Prospects**:
**Qualifications required**:

- A level 1 Qualification in childcare is desirable. GCSE maths and English desirable but training can be given to support these if required
- A level 2 Qualification in childcare is desirable. GCSE maths and English desirable but training can be given to support these if required

**Skills required**:

- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- We require a motivated individual who is looking to pursue a career in childcare or further their career in this sector

- Kind / Caring
- Motivated and proactive
- Genuine interest in this career path is essential

**Hours per week**: 32.5 hours. Term Time only - 38 weeks per year, working times to be agreed
