The Stores person is required to undertake all aspects of stores work and will report to the Engineering Manager. The primary accountability of the Stores person is to help maintain the fleet through management of stock control. The position is based at our Fulwell bus garage in London.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
- Control of garage stock within budgetary parameters.
- Accurate receipt of parts into stock and the issue of same to vehicle customers & engineering staff.
- Goods-In Inspection including accurate specification, correct quantity & checking for damage, etc
- Routine cyclical stock checks.
- Weekly reports on expenditure (bus parts).
- Timely replenishment of consumed materials to maintain a comprehensive support service to the engineering function.
- Overseeing deliveries of fuel, lubricants and ancillary services.
- Attend monthly stores meeting.
- Maintain and follow health and safety procedures.
- Optimising stores layout to ensure reduced waste and manage health, safety and security

EDUCATION
- BTEC Higher National Diploma or similar.
- Diploma of Higher Education.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Preferred Knowledge of ‘Freeway’ fleet management system
- Ability to lift and carry vehicle components.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of bus parts & part numbers.
- Good organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work with other stakeholders in a fast-paced bus garage environment.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (a PCV licence would be beneficial also)
- Preferred previous experience of working in a bus or automotive industry.
