Cafe Assistant/barista

**Job Duties**:

- Greeting customers as they enter the cafe
- Making drinks and food as ordered by customers
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
- Cleaning cafe and maintaining cafe supplies as ordered by management
- Assisting with store opening and closing duties
- Assist with other tasks related to cafe operation, including cleaning and restocking coffee machine, making sandwiches, preparing food, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more)
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (8 hours or more)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs at our Walthamstow location (10-20 flights of stairs)

**Experience**:

- Food service experience is required.
- Experience in a cafe or restaurant is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic math skills are preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.46 per hour

**Experience**:

- Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
