**Quality Control Inspector**

**Location: Hereford**

Our client, a global medical device company is currently seeking a QA / RA Inspector to join their team.

The key responsibility of the Quality control inspector is to check the quality of incoming and outgoing products, as well as the re-working processes and kitting. This job involves tasks such as submitting samples, running tests, keeping a record of QC checks and any non-conformity, as well as overseeing procedures. The Quality control inspector works partly in a warehouse, and partly in the QARA office. This role requires strong attention to detail and ideally previous experience and understanding of ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Monitoring Operations quality control inspector monitors the operations to ensure they meet the approved procedures, communicating any required changes to the QARA Manager
- Maintaining Records of Quality Control - quality control inspector maintains detailed records of the QC that’s been carried out, as well as relevant additional information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products.
- Inspecting Procedures - Quality control inspector inspects, measure goods with approved equipment to ensure that all necessary procedures and products are inspected to a high standard.

Creating Reports for the Director of International Quality and Regulatory Compliance - from the data collected from inspections, quality control inspector creates reports for the quality manager of the company to highlight issues, detail the number of defective products being produced, and explain where improvements can be made.

Supplier Control - supplier evaluation, maintenance of the supplier documentation and Approved Supplier Log

**Skills / Qualifications**
- 5+ GCSE’s including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience of a Quality Management System, ERP system, ideally ISO 9001 or 13485
- Strong record keeping and filing.
- An exceptional eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt to the ever-changing environment due to rapid growth.
- Able to use your initiative and be flexible, reacting to change quickly and effectively.
- Able to work as part of a team to ensure successful delivery of the demands of the department.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising workload.
- Experience of working within rigid regulations and procedures (ISO 9001 or 13485 desirable)
- An understanding of medical terminology - desirable, but not essential
- In depth knowledge of International Quality Codes and Standards - an advantage.
