Climate Adaptation Assistant

- Contract type: Fixed term / Working hours: Full time- Location: Callow Rock, Shipham Gorge, Cheddar- With opportunities for hybrid working- Are you passionate about the climate and ecological emergency? Do you want to play a role in developing climate adaptation plans with local communities in Somerset?As Climate Adaptation Assistant, you will be helping to deliver Somerset Wildlife Trust’s climate adaptation work across various projects. Working closely with the Climate Adaptation Officer and wider project team from partner organisations, you will support the development and delivery of a programme of online and face to face communications, meetings, and workshops for focal communities.

You will also help advance Somerset Wildlife Trust's knowledge and understanding of climate adaptation approaches and help develop adaptation plans for priority habitats. Additionally, you will support the creation of reports to communicate the achievements of the project to our partners and funders.

The job is fixed term until 31st March 2024 with potential for extension dependent on funding, The full job description and person specification is attached in the link at the bottom of this page.
