**Salary**: Circa **£70,000** depending on experience

**The opportunity**:
An excellent opportunity to join the product assurance supply chain group as the leader for the UK team, this is a new role that will allow a dynamic person to fulfil this newly positioned role.
This role will be critical for the development of the supply chain activities for the UK team and to work collectively with the French & Italian leadership
The role will be providing local leadership for the quality activities & performance of the UK supply base, and will be fully accountable for all the UK supply chain quality activities
**What we're looking for from you**:
- Primary Quality Authority for supply chain activities, assuring activities comply with MBDA process requirements and contractual standards.
- Identify Quality risks and critical issues with mitigation solutions to assure achievement of supplier Quality performance and increasing Customer satisfaction.
- Develop UK strategy to support the Group PASC strategies, in harmony with France & Italy
- Support operational activities in the development of robust supplier performance
- Provides to the external supply base an interface that robustly supports MBDA & supplier needs
- First point of contact on all supplier issues from internal discovery, and from the supply base
- Work with suppliers to develop robust process in line with the defined quality engineer tools
- Drives the ‘zero defect' mind set across all suppliers
- Implementation of APQP tools to new development and to mass production products (Process Mapping, FMEA, Control Planning, MSA)
- Develop team capability - understand team capabilities and develop training plans to support the team members ability to support the business
**What we're looking for from you**:
- Working with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure the team align strategies to deliver business objectives.
- influence multi-functionally and at all levels within the organisation
- Manage team to effectively implement product and service changes when working with internal stakeholders
- Lead the team to develop to implement quality strategies with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Creating strong supplier quality relationships to deliver robust quality performance
- Experience in Creating & executing of individual development plans
- Develop succession planning for individual team members
- Ideally minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or Quality Assurance discipline
- Experienced quality professional, preferably from within an engineering discipline with a proven track record in Product Assurance.
- Practitioner of current QA problem solving and improvement methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.)
- Experienced with the management of quality tools within the supply chain
- Experienced with the deployment of APQP toolset
- Strong analytical skills; ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM system, and document management tools
- Continuous improvement awareness and ability to use own initiative to deliver improvements
