**Workshop Lead**

**40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (Monday to Friday)**

**Salary Range: £27,524.32 - £31,941.94 (dependent on experience and relevant qualifications) plus £3,000 location allowance**

An opportunity has become available to join Seol Trust, Ruskin Mill Trust, as a Workshop Lead focusing on the holistic needs of the participants who come and work with us. This role can be both physically and emotionally demanding, and you must have the confidence and patience to support adults who sometimes present with challenging behaviours.

This role will include planning and delivering a range of meaningful work activities

To be successful in this role you will:

- have a strong desire to support adults with learning disabilities, have excellent observational skills, and the ability to problem-solve and think creatively to enable participants to reimagine their potential
- have experience as a biodynamic practitioner or have a strong desire to strengthen existing knowledge by taking part in our Biodynamic Ecology training programme
- have a flexible approach to work as the requirements will vary depending on the overall and seasonal needs of the provision
- plan workshop activities and supervise and support participants throughout the day, both in sessions and unstructured time
- encourage and engage participants to attend planned sessions and to help them become engaged in the work activities
- have a sense of humour, an ability to build successful and positive relationships when participants are disengaged all whilst maintaining professional boundaries without being directive and have some flexibility in your approaches to working with young people and adults
- navigate and appropriately respond to ever changing dynamics
- support safeguarding procedures by reporting quickly and effectively any disclosures to the Seol Trust Adult Protection Team
- have knowledge and experience of working with adults with learning disabilities difficulties and challenging behaviour

Seol Trust is part of the Ruskin Mill Trust Group which is a provider of specialist day provision expanding into residential services for young and vulnerable adults. Fairhill Rise, Pishwanton Woods is part of the Ruskin Mill Trust, and is set in a landscape of woodland and meadows and currently focuses on the development of the site and production of vegetables, fruits, salads and herbs grown using biodynamic methods.
