This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist diabetes service, supporting the ongoing care being delivered. We are seeking a motivated colleague to develop, co-ordinate and provide administration for a highly specialist diabetes service, working in partnership with patients and their carers/relatives, diabetes specialist nurses and dietitians. Provision of secretarial and administrative support to the Diabetes Nurse Consultant and other members of the Diabetes Nursing team will be a key part of the role on a daily basis.

The post holder will co-ordinate and provide administration for a highly specialist diabetes service, working in partnership with patients
and their carers/relatives, diabetes specialist nurses and dietitians. The post holder will act as a first point of contact for patients, GP’s, Community
staff and other colleagues within the trust.
Using multiple IT systems, you will monitor and play a role in the delivery of the technology service including continuous subcutaneous insulin
pumps, CGM (continuous subcutaneous glucose monitoring) and flash glucose monitoring ordering, excluded devices, accounts and
procurement, audit.
You will monitor and co-ordinate the outpatient booking for the specialist technology, young adult and structured education appointments ensuring
seamless and efficient operation of this service.
You will provide an efficient secretarial and administrative service to support the Diabetes Nurse Consultant and Diabetes specialist Nurses in
their day to day working
