Are you a night owl and want to work in a service that supports people who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We are looking for an engaging and passionate individual to join our amazing team in Swansea for 20 hours. Swansea Young Person service provides emergency accommodation for 16- 24 year olds experiencing homelessness. Swansea Young Person service delivers intensive housing related support to help service users move on to the relevant supported housing placement or into their own tenancy. You could be working with these incredible individuals to teach them tenancy management skills and engage them with external services to really make a difference to their lives

You will support people to develop the key skills needed to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability and to develop the skills to settle in the community and achieve positive progression. **What skills and experience do you need?**

To be a great Scheme Support Officer, you don’t always need previous experience or qualifications. This role requires flexibility along with enthusiasm, motivation and creativity. You need the ability to work on your own initiative in a busy and dynamic role as well as being a positive team player. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours who may not always want to engage in the support we have on offer so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

**What are the pay and benefits?**
- We are recruiting a 20 hour part time, permanent waking night individual to join our team
- Exact salary for this role is £11,492. Full time equivalent is £21,260.2
- You would be expected to work on a 3 week rolling rota which would include 10 hour night shifts, working between the hours of 10pm
- 8am, which will include week days and weekends
- 26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays

- The service does require lone working and you will receive the appropriate training to complete the role. As well as further training and progression opportunities - including NVQ
