Elddis Transport is a well-established and well-respected haulage company based in the Northeast. We require an enthusiastic person to join us in our accounts department on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Cover is required from Monday 1st April to allow for 6 weeks of training. Period of cover is 9 months after training, with expected maternity start date being 17th May 2024.

**Duties**
- Process purchase invoices daily including uploading to Sage 200 and overseeing the approval process
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Prepare weekly supplier payment run process, including monthly contras with sales ledger
- Daily purchase ledger VAT reconciliation
- Subcontractor invoice matching process
- Order & maintain fuel records
- Carry out month end processes
- Ad hoc recharging
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed

**Experience**
- Proven experience as an account clerk & experience with Sage 200 is desirable
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills

**Hours of Work**

35 hours per week with flexible start & finish times, and 1 hour lunch break.

Start time between 0800-0900 & finish time between 1600-1700.

**Salary**

£23-27k per annum depending on experience.

**Holidays**

Holiday entitlement of 21 days plus 8 bank holidays

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
