**About the role**
Your role as a Project Controls Degree Apprentice will be within our Project Delivery team. This Solutions Group is a critical part of the Transportation Operating Unit as it supplies most of the necessary expertise needed for project success.

Teams within Project Delivery include Project Managers, Systems and Cost analysts, Information Managers, and Planners, all key components to ensure the successful delivery of our projects. During your time in the Project Delivery team, you will have the opportunity to rotate between the different disciplines to allow you to become an agile employee of the future.

You will utilise your skills, qualifications, experience, and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities and authorities.

A Project Controls Apprentice will assist their teams to ensure the successful delivery of our projects. Your main responsibilities include, though aren’t limited to:

- Supporting the discipline you are working in to gain a broader understanding of how the business operates.
- Assist in the reporting of data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Challenging teams to ensure that they are compliant to governance and escalating any issues when necessary.
- Gaining experience in preparation of reports.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
Qualifications**
- English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at A*-C / Grade 4 or above
- Minimum of 2 A-Levels

**Desirable Skills & Characteristics**:
You should be able to demonstrate that you are:

- A well-mannered and professional individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Proactive in nature who takes pride in ‘getting things done’ to a high standard.
- Able to demonstrate a keen interest in a career in Project Management within the engineering & construction environment

Other skills you should be able to demonstrate are:

- Strong numeracy skills
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience of using MS office packages; particularly Microsoft Excel
