**Country Style is a modern craft bakery company that works closely with leading retailers and food service customers, specialising in high volume production of top quality bakery products.**

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operativeto join our site in Bridlington.

**Main Duties**
- Separate cardboard and flour bags from general waste and place into appropriate skip - hand jack or FLT may be required at times
- Ensure waste dough is disposed of into red bins and then taken to the tipper to be disposed of into the skip using a FLT
- Place the red bins of waste baked products into the bread compactor
- Clean compactors and skip areas using a jet wash/hosepipe
- Ensure the goods in yard and surrounding areas are tidy
- Litter pick around yard and factory perimeter on a daily basis
- Clean the smoking area daily, sweep, empty ashtrays and jet wash when required
- Check all fire exists around the perimeter for any obstructions - removing the obstruction and report to Hygiene Supervisor and/or Engineering
- Clean red bins and dough lavs as required
- Window cleaning and grass cutting will be required in the summer months
- Check car park for litter/debris and clean accordingly
- Perimeter check for damage, pests, repairs needed etc.
- Clean dough skip steps

**Skills & Competencies**

Current Fork Lift Licence

Reliability and good timekeeping

Ability to follow instructions

Ability to work under pressure

Effective communicator

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
