**About The Role**:
Are you an experienced ecologist looking for a new challenge? APEM is seeking a talented ecologist to join our Natural Capital Team at an exciting time of growth and development.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, both in the field and in the office, supporting the delivery of won projects. You'll also have the chance to hone your skills in report and tender writing, as well as business development, marketing, and sales. Our experienced team will support you as you develop your skills and experience, and you'll have the potential to progress into a senior role in the future.

Joining APEM Ltd means joining a team of experienced terrestrial and aquatic scientists who work on a variety of projects across the UK. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with experts not only in the terrestrial sector, but also in fisheries science, hydrology, hydro/geomorphology, and water quality.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

- Experience conducting Phase 1 Habitat and / or UK Habitats Classification surveys.
- Good Botanical identification skills ideally at FISC level 3 or above
- Experience of Defra Biodiversity Net Gain metric
- Experience of protected species surveys (e.g. dormice, bats, GCN, otter, water vole, birds etc.).
