**What is a Volunteer Shop Assistant?**

As a volunteer, your role will be to work with the team of paid staff and other volunteers, to ensure our customers have a wonderful shopping experience.

Experience of working within a shop is not essential, it’s more important to us that you are keen to make a difference and enjoy working as part of team.

**What's involved?**
- Provide a warm & friendly service to our customers
- Assist with shop displays
- Prepare items for sale - hanging, steaming & sizing
- Process cash & card payments
- Process Gift Aid on receipt of donations
- Maintain the cleanliness & appearance of the shop

Friendly & helpful, keen to make every customer feel special. You will be someone who enjoys meeting new people on daily basis and are willing to provide a regular weekly commitment. We really value kindness, honesty, integrity and reliability in our volunteers and staff and in return, we will do our best to provide you with a rewarding volunteer experience.

**Time Commitment**:
One morning or afternoon per week (Monday to Saturday) - times/days to be agreed at interview

**Training Requirements**:
Full site induction & mandatory annual training will be provided

**Expenses**:
Lunch & travel allowance for shifts 4hrs and more

**Age Restrictions**:
Volunteers must be aged 16yrs plus
