Trainee Machine Setter

We have an immediate vacancy for a Trainee Machine Setter / Operator.

The successful trainee will expect to spend time in a number of different departments, working alongside our skilled setters, gaining a broad appreciation of what we do here.

Applicants must be punctual, hard-working, trustworthy and have a keen eye for detail.

Good mathematics, along with spoken _and _written English skills are also essential.

Basic hours of 36 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 17:00 with some opportunity for overtime. 30 minutes for lunch and two, 10-minute, tea breaks.

Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year, including Bank Holidays. In the second year and subsequent years this entitlement increases to 7 weeks.

Competitive starting rate of pay of £10.42per hour, regardless of age. Applicants with some relevant or transferable skills should expect more along with a company workplace pension. Performance will be reviewed after an initial three-month period and again after six months.

We are conveniently situated a 5-minute walk from Epping Underground Station with links to East London, Harlow and surrounding areas.
