- Job description- We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic person to support our Area Environment Manager and Wessex Business Manager contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for wildlife and people in Wessex.
Our work is varied; no two days are the same. You’ll need to be well organised, able to work flexibly, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll be thorough with good attention to detail, and the ability to manage your own workloads to prioritise competing demands.
You will carry out a range of duties including organising internal and external meetings, prepare and manage correspondence and documents, maintain calendars, minute taking of meetings and be a point of contact for our teams and customers. As you grow in confidence, we’ll support your ambitions too - and help you use the experience as a springboard for your career, including apprenticeship opportunities. Whilst this is a fixed term contract, the position may develop into a permanent role, or other opportunities may become available as the contract progresses.
The role is flexible and can be offered as a part or full-time opportunity to fit around you. While some time working in one of our office’s will be required, we offer a hybrid working environment. You will be supported in gaining on-site experience with our regulatory officers and get involved in our incident response work.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
