Environmental Advisor

We're looking for a site based Environmental Advisor to join our Transportation team on the Calvert and A43 HS2 schemes based in Buckinghamshire. You will advise the team on the ground to ensure legal, client and company requirements and procedures are met.

**Location**: Twyford, Buckinghamshire - site based

**Contract**: Permanent Fulltime

**Salary**: £40k - £48k + £4.5k car allowance + benefits

**Responsibilities**

As an Environmental Advisor, you'll support the delivery of works on the ground for our client EKFB.

Your day to day will include:

- Carrying out daily site inspections and audits of the project to ensure compliance with environment legal and other compliance obligations.
- Ensure site compliance against the HS2 Environmental standards and Assurance & Undertakings
- Work collaboratively with the client, construction partners and other technical specialists including environmental and sustainability specialists to achieve high quality integrated designs and develop appropriate and cost balanced mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Raise awareness of key environmental issues, identify training needs, and deliver environment and sustainability training as required.

**What are we looking for?**

This role of Environmental Advisor is great if you are:

- have experience of working in environmental management environment within construction, including assessing / identifying the environmental impacts associated with proposed works and being able to identify potential risks / issues on site and advise on appropriate control / mitigation measures
- good knowledge and practical experience of maintaining, implementing and improving EMS's certified to BS EN ISO 14001
