This Primary School is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with a child with behavioural issues on a 1:1 basis.

This job requires a fully qualified teaching assistant, who has recent teaching experience within a Primary School. In your new job you must have recent experience ideally in Behaviour and SEND. It is important that you have a strong knowledge of the currentcurriculum and will be able to assist in delivering lessons with confidence.
This Learning Support Assistant job is a long-term position running from after the half-term holidays until the end of the academic year
- This role will be based inside and outside the classroom supporting a child with behavioural issues on a 1:1 basis
- Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO about individual education plans (IEPs) and implementing and reviewing agreed strategies
- Supporting the pupil across the curriculum
- Creating and building a calming and healthy relationship to instil trust
- Providing a supportive, caring, and safe relationship with pupils and acting as a positive role model for them
- Building and maintaining relationships with parents to encourage further learning and development at home

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be/have;
- Level 2 or higher childcare certificate
- In depth knowledge of the curriculum from EYFS
- Experience working with SEND Children
- Experience working with behaviour issues
- Experience working on a 1:1 basis
- A commitment to delivering high quality teaching and learning
- Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility
- High expectations and the ability to raise attainment and achievement.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
