Our client is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer with a keen interest in the Microsoft business ecosystem and driving positive change through automation.

if you want to work remotely too, there is no strict policy on where you get your work done. The role is customer facing, however, so you'll need to be prepared to participate in video calls and make the odd trip to site when necessary.

Day to day, your duties will include
- helping customers and other team members with issues as they crop up. This means leading by example on ticket work, encouraging those around you to follow best practice and process, even re-writing process if you think it can be done better.
- Just as important however, is the proactive and preventative work to mitigate issues cropping up in the first place. Ideally you will have experience leveraging automation to help us with this effort.

**Technical requirements**

**Required**
- A minimum of 3 years’ demonstratable experience in an advanced IT support role.
- Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace experience, both in the hands on usage, and in design and implementation.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time recording abilities.
- A strong working knowledge of both Windows client OS’s and Microsoft 365.
- Experience designing and building AAD organisation structures.
- Experience building and maintaining Teams and SPO structures.
- At least a high-level networking understanding, with knowledge into how corporate networks and the wider internet function (TCP/IP, switching, routing, cabling, DNS).
- Experience using PowerShell to administer 365 tenants.
- Demonstrable proficiency using Autopilot/MEM/Microsoft Defender for Endpoint in a corporate environment.
- Experience working with a PSA and an RMM system (currently use Autotask and Datto RMM).

**Desired**
- Experience with project delivery, whether that be scoping, designing, or leading IT projects.
- Experience working with an IT documentation platform (we currently use ITGlue, but want to leave as soon as humanly possible, boo Kaseya).
- A high level of proficiency using PowerShell to automate processes with RMM.
- Experience using Git for version control.
