**Job description**

Afrah al Batul is seeking to appoint a Quraan and Islamic Studies Teacher to facilitate the learning of Islamic education and prophetic principles for young children in Accrington.

For the Teaching Assistants role, no teaching experience is necessary but applicants will be required to undergo any training required to obtain the knowledge and skills needed.

**The Role**
- To teach children to learn about Islam and to inspire them to be better Muslims by being a good role model.
- To plan lessons according to the curriculum and deliver sessions in a creative and engaging manner.
- To assess students learning to ensure teaching practice and learning is of a high standard.
- To be able to follow and execute Madrassa learning and behaviour policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Have a commitment to developing the next generation of Muslims in the UK.
- Desirable: QTS or relevant qualification to teach children.
- Communicate and interact with children using the English language.
- Experience of working with children in the UK.
- Support children's learning through Knowledge and understanding of how children learn.
- Please note this role is based on site at the Madrasa in Accrington and not for online teaching

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: Up to £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
