Chick Placement Operative

We are currently recruiting for our client in **Anwick**, this role is a mobile position, a **full driving licence **is required to cover Broiler farms across East-Anglia and Lincolnshire.

**Job Role**

To assist the Farm Management Team in the placement of day old chicks, ensuring that stock is handled to the highest possible standard and meets the required specification in terms of welfare, quality etc. To ‘live’ welfare as a condition with the opportunity to grow and develop via our bespoke Agriculture Academy. ‘Growing our own’ agriculture specialists and leaders of the future.

**Responsibilities**
- To gain a full understanding of poultry in Moy Park.
- Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with Moy Park competency framework.
- To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
- To assist with the placement of day old chicks, on Broiler Farms ensuring quality, Bio-security and welfare standards are adhered to at all times.
- To be aware of basic first aid, should anyone require attention.
- To take responsibility, in conjunction with the Farm Manager, for self development and training.
- Bird welfare must be of utmost priority at all times. **To distribute Top Up Bales when required to help bird welfare**
