**Salary**:Band 5, £28,692 - £35,113, per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Outer London Fringe Allowance

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to work as part of a dynamic inter-disciplinary team, which provides specialist treatments for veterans with complex trauma-related mental health difficulties (such as PTSD and C-PTSD).

The post holder will be organised, enthusiastic, task driven, and able work effectively as part of a team.

The post holder will join a friendly, hard-working, and committed team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assisting in clinically related administration, conduct of audits and service evaluations, collection of statistics, development of research projects and other project work
- Undertaking structured psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional Psychologist working according to a plan agreed with a qualified Psychologist and other staff
- Co-facilitating psychoeducational groups
- Collecting and maintaining data relating to routine clinical outcome measures (RCOMs)
- The post holder will be expected to work closely with the senior Psychologists from the service and more senior staff to contribute to the development and enhancement of the treatment programmes delivered by the England South hub
