**Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Coventry**

**REED Education is currently working in collaboration with a Primary School that is looking to appoint a HLTA to begin as soon as possible.**

**The main role of the HLTA is to support and mentor pupils who are facing difficulties in school, this could be due to a range of reasons relating to social, emotional, personal and behavioural problems. The majority of pupils are eligible for pupilpremium funding, the HLTA will work together with SLT to identify how pupil premium funding can be used to ensure academic and social progress of pupils.**

**Daily the HLTA will assist pupils and help them to overcome barriers to learning and allow pupils to engage in the same level of learning as their peers.**

**This is a highly rewarding, varied, and challenging role, you will have a life changing impact on the lives of pupils and their families.**

**To be considered for this role, you must**
- **Have at least 2 years of Teaching Assistant experience**:

- **Hold a level 4 or equivalent qualification**:

- **Be motivated by helping people**:

- **Not be afraid of hard work**:

- **Have excellent written and oral communication skills**:

- **Understand safeguarding and child protection laws**:

- **Be friendly and caring**:

- **Be able to remain calm at all times**:

- **Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to pay £38 for a new check to be done.
