**Teaching Assistant - Secondary school - Sunderland**

Do you currently hold a degree and have a real passion for working with children or young adults?

If yes, Shape A Life is for you. We are currently working with a secondary school in **Sunderland **who are looking for talented individuals to support their Key Stage 4 students.

**Starting ASAP**, these are term-time only positions for the academic year and you will earn **£450 - £500 per week.**

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- 1:1 and small group pupil support under direct supervision of teaching staff.
- Supporting independent learning and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Supporting the teacher with managing behaviour and keep pupils on task.
- Helping to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils in social and emotional well-being.
- Ensuring all pupils feel valued and included in the classroom.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing practical and learning support to their learners, including those with SEN under the guidance of the class teachers.

**You will need**:

- Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in secondary school education or SEN.
- **Degree - 2:2 or above**. English, History, Computing or Psychology that would be advantageous.
- Have high expectations of teaching and learning.
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
- To be a positive role model
- Be keen to develop as a professional
