We are currently looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic Support Workers in Wirral and surrounding areas.

You would be playing a pivotal role in providing excellent support and care for adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and other complex care needs.

**Key Responsibilities but not restricted too**:

- Support the Registered Manager and the team in giving the highest standard of care possible to all the adults/young adults.
- Act as a member of the team and assist the management team in giving the highest standard of care possible to all service users, closely following individual plans, risk assessments and programmes in place.
- Understand the importance of the need for confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in creating a safe, clean and secure environment for all service users, relatives and colleagues, working with the team to cover their duties when on leave or off sick.
- Develop skills in order that the service users individual health/social and emotional development needs are met.
- Provide support, advice and information to the service users, parents and other carers as required.
- Ability to complete care plans, risk management and strategy plans.
- Experience of report writing.
- Administration of medication and storing medication.
- Adhere to the activity programme to ensure the service users receive a variety of daily stimulation and development suitable to their needs.
- Adhere to each service users aims and objectives to ensure individual development.
- Keep open lines of communication; participate in supervisions and appraisal giving honest open feedback to line manager.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by Management.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- MUST have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and other complex care needs
- Driving Licence would be an advantage but not essentialSupport Worker

**Duties**:

- Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Support individuals in their daily activities, including household chores and errands
- Assist with medication administration, as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
- Patience and understanding in challenging situations
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
